Sukkerr\u00f8r modnes i en periode p\u00e5 13 til 16 m\u00e5neder ved tropiske og subtropiske temperaturer mellem 26 og 30 grader. <\/p>\n<p>Da planten kan klare sig med sm\u00e5 m\u00e6ngder vand, mens den er ung, planter man ud i t\u00f8rketiden. Gennem tils\u00e6tning af g\u00e6r s\u00e6ttes m\u00e6skens fermenteringsproces i gang. <\/p>\n<p>Der dannes alkohol, varme og kuldioxid. Denne kommer gennem svanehalsr\u00f8ret ind i k\u00f8lebeholderen, hvor den kondens\u00e9rer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Der opst\u00e5r rom med en h\u00f8j alkoholprocent, ca. 75 %.
