A. Scheer delivered 25,000 litres of the liquid gold from the Caribbean and 9,000 litres of arrack from Batavia with the motor vessel \u201cArak\u201d.<\/p><p>Despite the rain, a large gathering of people welcomed the high-percentage cargo in the port with jubilation, flags and cheering.\u00a0 Fully dressed, the ship tied up next to the Piet Henningsen pub.<\/p><p>The Dutch and German press reported on the event.
